The Italian ski resort of Watles is part of the Ortler Skiarena Area with access to 123 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Watles itself (11mi of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ortler Skiarena ski resorts of Haideralm, Latsch Tarscheralm, Maseben, Mendel Ruffrè, Meran 2000, Pfelders, Reinswald, Rittner Horn, Schnalstal, Schöneben, Schwemmalm, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler, Vigiljoch and Minschuns.

The ski resort itself is above 5,000ft, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With pistes above 7,500 feet, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.
