The New Zealand ski resort of Mount Ruapehu has direct access to 43 individual pistes, served by 28 ski lifts.
The ski resort itself is above 5,000ft, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With pistes above 7,500 feet, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.
